Green Initiatives
Santa Barbara Eco-Friendly Hotel
Ramada by Wyndham Santa Barbara is the first Gold Certified Audubon Green Hotel in Santa Barbara, California. We are committed to sustainability and eco-conscious initiatives; we strive to be Santa Barbara's greenest hotel.
Santa Barbara Green Hotel - Audubon Gold certified
We are the first hotel in the Santa Barbara and Goleta area to receive the prestigious Green Business Certification from Green Business Santa Barbara County. Awarded at the Environmentalist Level in the California Green Lodging Program, our eco-friendly hotel has attained the highest level available for green practices. We are voluntarily committed to green initiatives and environmental consciousness to benefit both our guests and our community. We have implemented a diverse range of green measures over the years, including the installation of our solar hot water heater for a year-round solar heated outdoor swimming pool. Our hotel also offers three electric vehicle charging stations in the parking lot and efficient fluorescent fixtures in all guestrooms.
Going green and giving back
The Ramada by Wyndham Santa Barbara extends a mindset of service to our guests as well as the residents in our surrounding region. That's why we donate partially-used amenities and older linens to local shelters and do business with local vendors for the majority of our service and supply needs. We encourage guests to choose the paperless checkout option and support vendors that recycle responsibly. Throughout the hotel, we have formally done away with incandescent bulbs, so our beautiful grounds operate as efficiently as possible. In addition, we've adopted a formal facility-wide green purchasing policy and have installed high-efficiency rotating nozzles and rain sensors on irrigation. We will continue to expand on our commitment and minimize environmental impact in any way we can.
