The management and staff of Ramada Santa Barbara take a great deal of pride in the implementation of our new environmentally friendly initiatives. From saving energy by using compact fluorescent light bulbs to conserving water with low-flow toilets, our new “Green” initiatives support a sustainable world by reducing waste and eliminating unnecessary energy expenditure.
Eco-Friendly Initiatives:
* Linen & Towel Re-use Program – Guests are asked to use their bed linens and towels more than once which saves water, energy and detergent. This can make a large impact, potentially saving 7,500 gallons of water and 50 gallons of detergent monthly.
* Compact Fluorescent Light Bulbs – CFLs use less energy which means utility plants burn
less coal, leaving the world with cleaner air.
* Low-Flow Toilets – Low-flow toilets save an average of 2 gallons of water per flush.
* Low-Flow Showerheads – Moen Revolution showerheads use only 2.5 gallons per minute.
* Recycle Bin in Every Room & all Public Areas – With numerous places to deposit
recyclables we’re all able to easily conserve every piece of reusable waste.
* Member of the “Green” Hotels Association – www.greenhotels.com
Tropical Garden & Freshwater Lagoon
Ramada Santa Barbara also features a tropical garden with towering palm trees and freshwater lagoon that is home to ducks, turtles, koi fish, herons, egrets and various migratory birds. Our hotel is truly an oasis in Santa Barbara which reflects our dedication and commitment to the environment. One must only stroll through the tranquil gardens and lagoons to fully appreciate the ongoing efforts that we have made throughout the years.
